My name is Kevin. I'm a student at Clemson University and I absolutely love it. While, I'm glad I grew up in Maryland, the chance to get away from home and live in the South for a few years is amazing. Its a completely different world and I love how friendly and happy people seem to be. At Clemson, I'm majoring in physics and economics.

One of the things I miss about home is skiing, through most of high school I went to Ski Liberty several times a week during the winter. Sadly, South Carolina isn't great ski country. I love the beach, I try to go as much as I can. My family has a second house in Florida, so I usually am able to go a fair amount.

I graduated from Winters Mill in 2008 and the only thing I miss about it is debate. While I still get in my fair share of arguments, which I prefer to think of as spirited discussions, I don't get to do it competitively anymore. I do occasionally volunteer to help coach/judge my old high school's team which is something I really enjoy.

I'm currently a sophomore at Clemson University and I am studying Computer Engineering. I work at the Computer Shop on Campus (CCIT) and have always enjoyed working on computers. I can program confidently in C, and currently use Ubuntu on two machines. Windows 7 is partitioned on my laptop.

Whenever I'm not busy working or in class, I like to relax and watch movies or some TV shows. I just recently caught up on Supernatural, which is in its 5th season and one of the best shows I have seen. I play a lot of Ultimate Frisbee. I used to play soccer and run Cross Country in high school, but this changed when I got to college. Ultimate Frisbee became my one and only athletic love and I play as much as I can. To be honest, I play every Friday when it isn't raining. And I usually play for about two or three hours at a time.

I try to be as honest as possible and its not always "the best policy." Honesty has hurt me more than its helped, but now its getting better. It's an easier life to live and I'm no longer smothered by facades and blankets of lies I throw over myself to be "cool" or anything.

I don't enjoy big parties. I prefer having one or two drinks with a small circle of friends and maybe play a drinking game or two. My ideal night is me and a girl and some friends, relaxing and watching a movie and seeing where things go. I love cuddling. Nothing can beat the feeling of holding a beautiful young woman in your arms and knowing she wants to be there. And then having friends to talk and enjoy life and forget the shit that you have to deal with.

Whatever you learn from talking about me, is really me. I have a lot of sides and I'm a very flexible and adaptive person. I try not to brag about things and normally don't get into arguments I can't win. I pick my fights well. I back up my opinions with facts and try and keep an open mind about everything. I'm by no means religious, but that doesn't mean I think religious people are wrong. They simply have a faith that I don't. I can't believe in something unless I have proof it happened. Evolution is backed up by science and logic, and as far as I'm concerned, that's all I need to believe in.

I'm very curious and usually like to ask a lot of questions, or have a lot of questions asked of me. I'm also very patient. I am a student and work a bunch of small jobs to keep up with life. I am a Christian and it's really important to me. I love anything outdoors and love to stay active. It's been my experience that anyone who has to tell you about how interesting they are, well, generally isn't. With that in mind, I'm not going to try to sell you on me. I'll just give you my basics and you can come to your own conclusions. I was born in Syracuse, NY and moved to Greenville when I was 10. Well, coming from my closest friends I've been described as a true renaissance man, a consummate gentleman, a good friend and a smart guy. As far as the friends' descriptions go, I'm a renaissance man because I have a lot of hobbies and like to try everything. I work at being well-mannered and a gentleman-I know full well you are capable of opening that door, but dammit I'll open it for you, give you my jacket if it's cold, walk on the traffic side of the sidewalk and even pull out your chair at a nice dinner. I'm a good friend because friends and family are all we really have and need to get along in life and the intelligence, well, I guess that was luck :).

My hobbies? I love...LOVE spending time outdoors. Camping, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, stargazing. You name it, if it's outside I'm in and I'm happy. That's not to say I don't enjoy staying in sometimes. Cuddled up on the couch watching a movie or just TV, trying a new restaurant, going to a movie, live theatre, orchestra concert, rock concert or even the opera. I'm the kind of guy who can camp for a week without showering then clean up right afterward for a nice dinner and maybe a wine tasting.

I also tend to be affected by my surroundings, and I was raised under the perpetual fear that people were coming to visit, so I like to keep an organized, clean house, though during the week it can get messy. I love to cook, and although I don't really have a specialty I'm really good with seafood and chili. I also do desserts very well- I make a chocolate raspberry torte that seems to pull the most compliments.

My sense of humor is pretty dry, and I like to find humor in almost everything, but overall I just love to laugh and make others smile with me. Or at me.

So why am I trying this internet thing? Well, it's a tough dating scene for me where I am, being in my mid-30s and living in a college town. I've found that around here most women are simply too young (mentality, the number is more of a marker), or already have several children. I do (think) I want kids in the future, but I'd like them to be mine/ours, I'm just not into the "instant family", nor do I really know how to treat someone else's kids. Do I discipline them, try to be best friends? Too much pressure!! :)

I am an otr driver and dont get home often. I have been divorced 6 years from a marriage of 20 years and have two grown sons,Drew is 20 and Alex is 19.
I love a good steak on the grill or a night out for a nice dinner and dancing. I think this site is great for wasting time but joined in hopes of finding a friend in some of the various places I go for a fun night out. Not looking for a soulmate or a relationship because I dont believe in soulmates. A long term friendship would be great. Only penquins mate for life in the real world. Some people put up with each other for life. Is that a soulmate?

Let's see....Me is a hard thing to explain. I graduated from Pendleton High School in June of 2008. I'm a small town country girl. I'm stubborn and hard-headed. I can be outspoken, outgoing, and crazy one minute and the next minute be shy, quiet, and closed-up. But all in all, I'm country. I can talk about fishin', watch Nascar, etc. I cuss but I still like to be treated as a woman. I ain't afraid to get my hands dirty or my clothes for that matter. I can tell the difference between a Phillips head screwdriver and a 9/16 wrench lol. I like to play around, joke, and of course wrestle. I can have the straightest most serious face and still be kiddin' around. I've been hurt many times. At only 19 years old that's pretty bad to say. But I have some awesome friends that have been there for me. I'm still in contact with my ex's family. Actually they've adopted me as a daughter and granddaughter. I've got that part of my 'family', my 'actual' blood family, and my best friend's family. They're all the time worrying about me especially since my Nanny died back in November. She was my EVERYTHING. Best friend, confidante, shopping partner(I never shop, but when she was around she MADE me go shoppin'), roommate(I lived with her for 4 years), and most of all my grandmother. I ain't lookin' for a city boy, a pretty boy, a guy who thinks I'm a 'downgrade' instead of an 'upgrade'. I'm lookin' for a country boy who knows how to have fun and won't look at me f*cked up when I say somethin' crazy. I love pizza Mexican Food my car Mountain Dew and driving.

It's so hard to fit yourself into a box on one of these sites! I'm a grad student at Clemson in Entomology. I love nature, animals, and good people with good hearts. I'm laid back and down to earth, but I'm also passionate about my causes and beliefs. I'm very close to my family and friends but I love my alone time too. I have pets- a dog, Ludo, and a cat, Billie Jean- they're a major priority in my life. My tastes in music, activities, books, art, and food all depend on my mood at the time but in general I have a place in my heart for all types. Except meat. I'm a vegetarian with a weakness for shrimp and tuna steaks, but I try to be good.

Ok... I have to stop here because I have a broken arm (fell while ice skating in Utah with my little brother) and it makes me the worst typist ever. Plus it hurts and kinda makes me feel bad about myself that typing leaves me panting. :)

Working hard ALL the time at my HOME BASED business, wishing i could be a lake fishing, or swimming, or just sitting on the shore drawing the veiw ( even though i can't draw well ), wishing i had friends close enough to me to hang out with or exercise with .... it's depressing and boring to do it alone.

i often find myself thinking about the world and my place in it, what it would be like if i was to no longer exsist in life, who would notice i'm gone, would my single life acutally make that much of a difference, and how long people would remember me if at all, or would it just be another life gone.
